I wanted the humor to challenge the ease with which we dismiss something we have never seriously examined. Christianity makes claims worth understanding and calls us to repentance, forgiveness, and love of neighbor—things considerably harder than announcing that everyone else has failed at them. The professor has plenty of confidence. His assistant has a better question.

Start the measurement from the collar at the top (high point shoulder) and extend the measuring tape down to the item's bottom.
