Foolish Controversies T-shirt
The Bible is open. The argument is going strong. Is anyone being built up?
Foolish Controversies is a two-sided graphic t-shirt about Biblical discernment, Christian unity, and knowing when an argument has stopped being useful. The front uses cartoon artwork to show a heated discussion over a calendar, paired with Titus 3:9 and its warning against pointless controversies and quarrels about the law.
The back offers a better direction: “In essentials, unity. In non-essentials, liberty. In all things, charity.” Romans 14:19 follows with the call to pursue peace and mutual edification.
I wanted this design to make us pause and examine how we disagree. Holding firmly to God’s Word also means taking seriously what it says about loving and building up one another. A little pointed humor for anyone who has watched a Bible discussion turn into a contest nobody wins.
