We all know that turning the church into rival fan clubs and exclusive cliques is NOT a new problem.
Is Christ Divided is a graphic hoodie featuring a large back illustration of Paul’s rebuke of the quarrels in Corinth. In a vintage cartoon scene, competing factions wave banners for Paul, Apollos, Cephas, and Christ while Paul calls out the question they’ve forgotten to ask: “Is Christ divided?”
Based on 1 Corinthians 1:10–17, the design challenges our habit of making personalities and party loyalties the center of our faith. Even Christ’s name can become a banner for our own faction when we use it to boast rather than listen to His Word.
I wanted the humor to make an ancient argument feel uncomfortably familiar. For anyone who appreciates Biblical satire and a conversation about unity in Christ, this shirt gives Paul’s question a little room to be heard.
