Baal’s priests are making quite a scene. Their god appears to be occupied with a crossword. Elijah has a suggestion: “Cry out to your god!”

Elijah at Carmel is a two-sided graphic sweatshirt inspired by the Mount Carmel showdown in 1 Kings 18. The front brings Elijah’s biting mockery to life with cartoon humor, a thoroughly waterlogged altar, and my own addition: Baal imagined as a cute little Highland coo taking an inconvenient bathroom break.

Then turn the shirt around. “YHWH Answers.” Fire consumes the sacrifice, and the joke gives way to the power of the one true God.

This is one of my favorite designs. The humor draws you in, but God’s answer completes the story. For anyone who enjoys Biblical art, pointed satire, and a conversation that leads back to Scripture.

A Length

Start the measurement from the collar at the top (high point shoulder) and extend the measuring tape down to the item's bottom.

B Width

Begin measuring at one side at the chest level and extend the tape horizontally to the opposite side.

C Sleeve length

Start measuring from the back center of the collar, proceed along the sleeve's top seam to the shoulder, secure the tape there, and continue until you reach the end of the sleeve.
